In 2007 the COABC received funding from BCMAL to host a service to answer
questions related to organic production in BC. This money has funded Rochelle
Eisen as the BC Organic Extension Agent who delivers Extension Services
for the last 3 years. As of October 31, 2010 the funds will be exhausted
yet there will still be questions to be answered.
As of Sept 1, 2010

What is an Extension?
Extension - "A system of non-formal education. As such, it
is a field of professional education practice aimed at:
1) teaching people, in their own context and life situations,
how to identify and assess their own needs and problems;
2) helping them acquire the knowledge and skills required to cope
effectively with those needs and problems; and
3) inspiring them to action."
